Ways of Giving

One time donation

You may donate online to support initiatives such as the Emily Carr University Endowment, the Capital Fund, scholarships and bursaries for students, tribute and memorial gifts, or one of our other programs. We accept gifts online through CanadaHelps, by mail or you may contact the Advancement Office at 604 630 4562.

Monthly donation

Our monthly giving program allows you to make a real and concrete impact for just a few cents a day. Your monthly contribution allows us to reduce our administrative costs and assists us with long term planning.

Publicly traded bonds + securities

We gratefully accept the donation of publicly traded shares, bonds and other securities.

Note: A change in the 2023 federal budget is introducing changes to how the ¡®Alternative Minimum Tax¡¯ will be applied to the donation of appreciated securities starting January 1, 2024. For more information outlining this change, please read the following articles from The Globe and Mail and The Financial Post.

Interac / EFT transfers

We are pleased to offer Interac / EFT transfers, for those wishing to transfer their donation directly from their bank account. Refer to the EFT Donation Form for detailed instructions.

Planned giving

We welcome planned gifts, both immediate and deferred. Planned giving may include making a gift in your will, tribute and memorial gifts, in-kind donations, or establishing a student award. Aeroplan

Through the Aeroplan Member Donation Program, you can make a one-time donation or ongoing donation of your Aeroplan miles to Emily Carr University. Learn how you can contribute through Aeroplan.

Corporate sponsorships

We offer corporate sponsor opportunities for prestigious art exhibitions, popular annual events such as The Show or the Student Art Sale, public speaking events, student recruitment events and conferences.
