Scriptwriting (CSSC 103)

Learn essentials of scriptwriting, from applying fundamental elements of story to understanding the impacts of budget and scheduling on creative decision-making during the writing process. With an emphasis on television and short film practices, this course will help you develop and explore storytelling principles such as character, plot, structure, theme, and dialogue. Whether you’re an aspiring screenwriter or storyboard artist, or simply a passionate storyteller, this class will provide you with the industry know-how to start writing your own scripts, from fade in to fade out. Designed to be taken alongside or concurrently with Introduction to Story.
